My Approach

My philosophy as a therapist starts with careful and non-judgmental listening. Everyone has a unique life story -- I see my role as learning about your story, understanding the change you want to see, and exploring how we can move you towards it.

I specialize in working primarily with individuals who are seeking support for depression, anxiety, trauma-resolution, and interpersonal relationship stress.  I welcome people of all races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. However you identify, I look forward to learning about your unique story.

Your story may include:

Coping with a recent loss

Work stress

A desire to increase self-awareness and change patterns that don't serve you

Difficulty with relationships and intimacy

Issues with self-esteem

A past traumatic event

This list is by no means exhaustive of the range of issues for which you may want support. To talk more about how we might work together, please contact me.

Public Transit: The closest BART station is 19th St.  We're on AC Transit #12 and #57 lines.

Parking: You will find metered spots directly in front of the building and non-metered spots on the surrounding streets.  There's also a parking garage under the freeway, half a block away.

Accessibility: The building is wheelchair accessible.

My fee for a 50 minute session is $130.  I do not accept insurance at this time, but I do have limited slots for a sliding scale fee depending on your situation and ability to pay.  I take payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card and can generate a statement for your insurance if you have a PPO and want to use your out-of-network benefit.

I provide an initial 20 minute phone consultation free of charge so that we can get to know one another and discuss what you are looking for.  If for whatever reason we are unable to work together, I will provide you with referrals.
